The American Safety & Health Institute CPR AED and Basic First Aid course provides first responders with training in basic first aid and CPR AED procedure; including the first aid skills recommended by OSHA. Nationally Recognized. The hands on classroom setting course covers:

• First Aid Basics
• Medical Emergencies
• Injury Emergencies
• Environmental Emergencies
• Adult CPR AED
• Adult Choking

Including:

• Child CPR AED
• Infant CPR
• Child and Infant Choking

This course is NOT for healthcare providers, or students in healthcare related programs. Healthcare providers and healthcare students should take BLS for Healthcare Providers. Please check with your institution to make sure this is the correct course for you.

The instructor-led course is approximately up to 3-4 hours, with skills testing by an ASHI instructor during the course. Based upon the 2015 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). Conforms to the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC, and the 2015 AHA and ARC Guidelines Update for First Aid. 

The ASHI First Aid CPR AED course is intended for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, including:

• security and airline personnel
• camp counselors
• police and firefighters
• teachers and day-care workers
• aerobics teachers/physical-fitness trainers
• Foster parents, nannies
• Caregivers
• other individuals who want or need first-aid training.
